What is the difference between the inpatient and outpatient deductible? Do I have to pay both the inpatient and outpatient deductible if I seek treatments in both settings?

The inpatient deductible is applicable for inpatient treatments, while the outpatient deductible will only apply for outpatient treatments.

The deductible paid for inpatient treatments in a policy year would also count towards the outpatient deductible and vice versa.

For example, if a patient has paid at least $500 towards their deductible in the inpatient setting in a policy year, they would have fulfilled the outpatient deductible for the same policy year.
