The PO/CGO may delegate tasks to other personnel deemed competent and suitable for the functions (e.g., Section Leader), although the overall responsibility and accountability for their duties and functions as stipulated in the regulations remain with the PO/CGO.

This is akin to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Chief Operating Officer (COO) retaining executive/operational responsibility over the day-to-day running of their institution even though they are typically supported by a team.
