What are some measures that a licensee should take to ensure that the medicinal or health products are delivered or transported directly to the intended destination without any diversion or deviation from the intended route?
The licensee should ensure that the following measures are taken:
a) the packed parcel bears the patient’s name and the delivery details (e.g., address and date/time of delivery) and such information should be clearly visible on the parcel; and
b) the delivery address and the patient’s identity are verified and acknowledged by the recipient before handing over the parcel to the recipient.
To ensure traceability of supply and transportation of the medicinal and health products, the supply and transportation records should be maintained from the point where the products leave the packed/storage area to the point where the products are handed to the recipient.
