Why are pets not allowed at my place of isolation?

It is known that many animals including rodents may carry and transmit the mpox virus. Animal-to-human transmission may occur when an animal contracts mpox from an infected person and then spreads to other persons through bites, scratches or through direct contract with skin, mucosa, blood, and bodily fluids.
