How to claim the Deceased's bank account balances?
You will need to make an online application via https://go.gov.sg/pto and select "Deceased’s Assets other than Un-nominated CPF Moneys / Baby Bonus / Edusave / PSEA" for the Public Trustee to administer the Deceased’s estate. Please note that you will be required to disclose information on the Deceased’s shares, bank savings account, death gratuity, insurance policies and vehicles owned (if any) in the online application.
You will need to have your Singpass ready in order to access our online application form. You may apply for your Singpass at https://www.singpass.gov.sg if you do not have one.
If you are ineligible to apply for a Singpass, you may apply for a login ID and password through our website: https://go.gov.sg/pto.
Bank account balance $5,000 or below
For your convenience and in order to save costs at your end, you may approach the bank directly to claim the Deceased’s bank moneys.
Bank account balance of more than $5,000 to $50,000
The Public Trustee’s Office may assist to administer such cases on a case-by-case basis.

Death Certificate of Deceased
Birth Certificate of Deceased
Marriage Certificate of Deceased
Decree Nisi Absolute (if the Deceased was divorced)
Birth Certificate of Beneficiary
Identity Card of Beneficiary
Death Certificate of Beneficiary (if Deceased)
Marriage Certificate of Deceased’s Parents
Death Certificate of Parent (if Deceased)
