If you require legal aid or legal assistance, you can come to LAB during our office hours (8.30am to 5.00pm) to make an application. We are closed on weekends and Public Holidays. Please bring along your Identity Card for the registration.

Alternatively, you can make an online application here for selected subject matters. Once you have made your application for legal aid or legal assistance online with LAB, please visit LAB within 3 working days from date of registration to see our officer who will advise on whether a file can be opened. We can assist you after you pass the Means and Merits test. (The Merits test applies only for legal aid applications, not legal assistance applications.)

If you are a minor (i.e. a person below 21 years of age), your parent or guardian must apply on your behalf.

Before visiting the Bureau, please make an appointment via the OneMinLaw Portal (OMP) at https://go.gov.sg/omp to reduce waiting time.
