Do we need to renew the approval under section 176(1) of the Legal Profession Act ("LPA")?

The approval will lapse if the foreign lawyer's registration is terminated (including a change to the lawyer's registration under the same law practice, e.g. from section 36C to section 36B of the LPA), cancelled or suspended or lapses. The Director of Legal Services can also cancel approval granted under section 176(1) of the LPA.
