How will a creditor or a member of public know if a debtor is under the Debt Repayment Scheme ("DRS")?
The Official Assignee ("OA") does not inform the debtor's family or employer of his DRS status.
A creditor who has been disclosed by the debtor will receive a notice from the OA to file an electronic Proof of Debt against the debtor.
Any creditor or member of public may also conduct an online search with the debtor's NRIC number here to check if he is on the DRS.
