Who is the Official Receiver?

The Official Receiver is a public official appointed by the government. His role includes:

(a) Overseeing the private liquidators, ensuring the administration is in compliant with legislation.
(b) Acting as liquidator in compulsory winding up cases and for unincorporated entities.
(c) Acting as a representative for companies that have been struck off or dissolved.
