What are the ways to close a company?

There are several ways to close a company:

(a) Voluntary winding up

  • Members' Voluntary Winding Up - For solvent companies that can settle their debts.

  • Creditors' Voluntary Winding Up - For insolvent companies that cannot pay their debts.

  • Simplified Winding Up - Insolvent companies that meet a set of specific criteria can apply for this programme

(b) Court-ordered Winding Up - An application is made to the Court.
