The intent of MUP is to ensure NSmen do not incur civilian income loss when attending NS activities. The computation methodology is intended to provide an estimate of income loss when an NSman attends ORNS activities. Irregular payments such as bonuses are excluded.

If you or your employer assess that you incurred a larger loss in regular income compared to the computed MUP amount, your employer may submit an appeal on the eService or by emailing pay@ns.gov.sgwith the relevant supporting documents.
