What were the other NS recognition measures in the past?

Over the years, we have sought to show appreciation to national servicemen in different ways, such as the NS HOusing, Medical and Education (NS HOME) Awards, the NSman Tax Relief, and recognition benefits during certain milestone years. We have also built facilities such as SAFRA/HomeTeamNS clubhouses, and the National Service Resort and Country Club for national servicemen and their families to enjoy. MINDEF/MHA have also implemented the National Service Excellence Award (NSEA) to recognise the top 30% of NSmen attending In-Camp Training (ICT) or NS courses, as well as the Celebratory Gifts (Cg for NSmen who solemnised their marriages or welcomed a child in their family.
