Why do I need to link my NRIC number to my PayNow registered bank account to receive my IPPT incentive award? Can I link my mobile number instead?

NRIC/FIN is the only accepted proxy for Government disbursements via PayNow. Unlike mobile numbers which are subject to change, the NRIC/FIN is an unchanging identifier assigned by the Government. Linking your NRIC/FIN to your PayNow account will ensure that Government disbursements are sent to the correct payee.
