I have been informed that I have been booked for a FFI. What is a Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT)-FFI?

Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT)-FFI (Fitness for Instruction) was the term used to refer to the compulsory medical examination done for all IPPT-eligible NSman aged 35 years and above. IPPT-FFI is now incorporated into the revised SAF Health Screening Programme (HSP). There is no need to do a separate IPPT-FFI if you have already completed the SAF Health Screening Programme for that year.

All IPPT-eligible NSmen aged 35 years old and above are required to complete the HSP every year before attempting IPPT/IPT/RT. The aim of this medical screening is to detect any medical conditions which may make them unsuitable for IPPT/IPT/RT. NSmen that have cleared their HSP can proceed to book and attempt their IPPT/IPT/RT.
