MINDEF Reserve (MR) servicemen are NSmen who have completed at least 7HK ICT and 10 ORNS years in a NS unit. NSmen remain in the MR till the statutory age - 40 years old for WOSE; 50 years old for Officers.    NSmen who are still liable for Call-up can apply for Deferment whenever there is a Call-up. Approval is subject to the unit commander's discretion.
