Is there anything I can do to be exempted from call-ups while I am posted overseas?

If you are going overseas for a period of less than 12 months, you are still liable for ICT. Please apply for deferment via OneNS if you are unable to attend your ICT. If you have an Exit Permit that is valid for 12 months or longer, you will be disrupted from ORNS activities for the duration that you are overseas. If you already have an Exit Permit and have received a call-up, please check that your Exit Permit is still valid. If not, you may apply for an extension or renewal of the Exit Permit, via the "Manage Overseas Trips" eService on OneNS after getting approval for your ICT deferment. You must also provide MINDEF with your updated contact information, including temporary changes to contact information during overseas travel, so that your unit can contact you if necessary.
