NSmen will need to apply for deferment from an ORNS Call-up prior to their trip. They can only proceed with their overseas trip upon approval of the deferment application. If you are applying for deferment due to an overseas trip or because you have booked your travel and accommodations prior to being notified about your call up, please remember to submit the necessary documents regarding your travel and accommodations bookings when you apply for deferment on OneNS. Please also note that NSmen who have completed their Operationally-Ready National Service (ORNS) training cycle and have been phased into the MINDEF Reserve are required to apply for an Exit Permit for any trip that is 12 months or longer.
