What if I am applying for deferment on grounds other than those stated?

Deferment requests are decided by the unit commanding officer, who will consider the unit's training requirements and the merits of the serviceman's circumstances. NSmen can submit a deferment application if they have genuine difficulty in attending the ICT due to other reasons, which will be assessed on a case by case basis.
