My son is currently attending a special school; does he still need to serve full-time National Service?
We will require a school letter with the following information to assess your son's medical fitness for full-time National Service. This letter must indicate:
1. Current attendance (if applicable)
2. Your son's primary diagnosis
3. Period of enrolment
4. The current status of your son if he had transferred to another institution or school. All medical information declared will be reviewed by the Medical Officer at the Medical Classification Centre (MCC). The assessment will be conducted based on the Medical Classification Guidelines and on a case by case basis. You may send the letter via email to contact@ns.gov.sg.
