Does it mean that my son will become a Commando or Naval Diver after attending the Vocational Assessment (VA)?

Vocational Assessment (VA) is meant to determine suitability for the Commando or Naval Diver vocations. Only those who meet the selection criteria after the VA will be scheduled for enlistment into the Commandos Formation or Naval Diving Unit.
