What kind of supporting documents do I need to submit for deferment for overseas studies?

If you are applying for deferment to pursue overseas studies, you will be required to provide your documents through your OneNS dashboard within 2 weeks of your application.

The documents are as follows:

  • Recent documentary proof from school certifying the type and level of study, course commencement and completion dates.

  • Latest Income Tax Assessment Notice or income statements showing total income earned for the preceding year in Singapore and Overseas (if any) of both parents. For those without Income Tax Assessment Notice can provide employment letter which indicates the gross income of the preceding year.

  • Proof of parents' overseas employment / registration of Business.

  • Copy of parents' identity documents. In the case of single parent, death certificate of the other parent or divorced documents certifying the parent's custody
