MUP is automatically generated for all Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS) and SAFVC Volunteer (SV) activities except IPPT, NS FIT and mobilisation.

The auto-generated MUP amount is based on wage data submitted by employers to CPF Board two to three months before the ORNS/SV activity, specifically:

(a) CPF Ordinary Wages (OW) data; and

(b) the monthly average of the AW received in at least 8 of the last 12 months after removing the two highest monthly AW values which are likely to be irregular payments such as bonuses.
