Can I become a part of the Auxiliary Fire Fighting and Rescue team under the Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit?

Updated by MHA
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). If you are between 18 and 35 years old and are physically and mentally fit, the Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit (CDAU) Firefighting and Rescue Officer role offers an incredible opportunity to serve on the frontline alongside regular SCDF officers during real firefighting operations and emergency rescues. No prior firefighting experience is required. Male applicants must have completed National Service and hold a PES status of A or B. Before deployment, you will undergo an intensive 16-week training course at the Civil Defence Academy, with sessions held on weekday evenings and Saturdays. A minimum commitment of 16 hours per month is required.
