What is the Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit about?

The Civil Defence Auxiliary Unit (CDAU) is a uniformed volunteer scheme. The volunteers work with SCDF officers on the frontlines, from firefighting and rescue operations to providing emergency medical services. Beyond frontline response, CDAU officers also conduct enforcement checks for fire safety violations and educate the public on emergency preparedness, playing a vital role in building a safer and more resilient Singapore.
