Can I become a Prison Non-Religious (Secular) Volunteer?

Updated by MHA
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Singapore Prison Service (SPS). If you are at least 21 years old and have a passion for supporting others, you can become an SPS Secular Volunteer. No special qualifications are required. As a Secular Volunteer, you will work with one of SPS's partner organisations to facilitate non-religious skills training, workshops, and enrichment programmes for inmates. This could involve teaching financial planning, tutoring inmates preparing for national examinations, to supporting family-based activities that strengthen inmates' support networks ahead of their release. To sign up, you can approach one of SPS's partner organisations directly — including The Salvation Army, Agents of Change, Facilitators Network Singapore, Centre For Fathering, and SINDA, among others — or email PRIS_Volunteers@pris.gov.sg to explore available opportunities.
