What is it like volunteering with the Singapore Prison Service (SPS)?

Updated by MHA
The Singapore Prison Service (SPS) collaborates with various community partners, to offer rehabilitation and reintegration programmes to inmates and ex-offenders. SPS volunteers facilitate programmes which include religious programmes and services, social programmes, academic and enrichment programmes. Volunteers also provide pro-social support for inmates and ex-offenders, during their in-care (in prison) and after-care (in the community) phases. Volunteering with the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) is one of the most meaningful ways to make a lasting difference in someone's life. SPS volunteers play a part in the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates and ex-offenders — helping them rebuild their lives and return to society as contributing members.
