What is the Ministry's position on illegal gambling in HDB estates or other places such as chalets?

Updated by MHA
The Police adopt a tough enforcement stance against unlawful gambling, whether in HDB estates or at other places. The Gambling Control Act 2022 prohibits all forms of gambling activities in Singapore unless they are licensed, class-licensed, or exempted. It is an offence to gamble in a public place. Individuals who participate in illegal gambling are liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to an imprisonment term not exceeding 6 months, or both. Higher penalties apply to those who operate or facilitate illegal gambling activities.
