What other information does the Fund-Raising for Foreign Charitable Purposes (FRFCP) permit holder need to take note of when applying for the permit?
The applicant needs to take note of the following when conducting a fund-raising appeal for foreign charitable causes:
The amount collected needs to be remitted to the beneficiary no later than two months from the last day of the appeal.
The permit holder is also required to submit a copy of the receipt from the beneficiary acknowledging the amount received to the Commissioner of Charities not later than two months from the close of the appeal.
The audited statement of accounts of the fund-raising appeal must be submitted to the Commissioner of Charities within 60 days of the last day of the appeal.
