Is it mandatory to appoint a Chairman and Treasurer in a charity?

The “Update/Appoint Chairman and Treasurer” section in the Update Charity Profile only allows appointment of a Chairman/Treasurer from a list of governing board members provided in the drop-down menu.

 

While the appointment of a Chairman is mandatory, the charity may select the option “No Treasurer or equivalent” under the drop down list for Treasurer if the Charity does not have a dedicated Board member holding the position of Treasurer (or equivalent).
