Do cryptocurrencies (e.g. Bitcoins) and NFT donations qualify for 250% tax deductions?
According to the Inland Revenue Authority Singapore (IRAS), only outright cash donations that do not give material benefit to the donor are tax-deductible. Donations with benefits in return will be treated as pure donations if the benefits are treated as having no commercial value. For more information on the various types of tax deductible and non-tax deductible donations, please visit the IRAS website.
As cryptocurrencies and NFT donations are not regarded as cash donations, please note that the 250% tax deductions will not be applicable.
