Can a CLG or Society register as a charity and whether the Memorandum of Association/Constitution will remain the same?
A CLG or Society set up for exclusively charitable purposes in Singapore must apply to register as a charity with the Commissioner of Charities/the relevant Sector Administrator within 3 months of its incorporation date.
The COC/SA will evaluate whether the organisation qualifies for charity status and if the M&AA or Constitution needs to be amended to meet the necessary requirements.
