Charities have to abide by the Charities Act and Regulations that outline the legislative requirements on registration, deregistration, submission of accounts, reports and returns, fund-raising and others.

These include:

  • Charities Act

  • Charities (Accounts and Annual Report) Regulations

  • Charities (Fund-Raising Appeals for Local and Foreign Charitable Purposes) Regulations

  • Charities (Large Charities) Regulations

  • Charities (Registration of Charities) Regulations

For IPCs, they would also have to comply with the Charities (Institutions of a Public Character) Regulations. The legislation and regulations are available on the Charity Portal or Singapore Statutes online.
