What are the different CareShield Life premium subsidies and am I eligible for them?

Updated by LIFESG
The Government offers the following subsidies to keep CareShield Life premiums affordable: 1. Means-tested Premium Subsidies of up to 30% of premiums of CareShield Life, to help lower- to middle-income households. 2. Singapore Citizens born in 1979 or earlier can receive Participation Incentives of up to $2,500 if they have joined and were covered under CareShield Life by 31 December 2023, or up to $1,875 if they joined and were covered by 31 December 2024. Pioneer and Merdeka Generation seniors are eligible for higher incentives: up to $4,000 if they joined and were covered by 31 December 2023, or up to $3,000 if they joined and were covered by 31 December 2024. The Participation Incentives will be spread equally over 10 years and used to offset premiums payable for each year. In addition to these subsidies, the Government also provides Additional Premium Support (APS) for Singaporeans who are unable to pay their CareShield Life premiums even after Government subsidies and MediSave use, and have limited family support. No one will lose coverage under CareShield Life due to an inability to pay premiums. For information on your personalised premiums and premium support, you may access the CareShield Life Premium Checker e-Service with your Singpass.
