Why have I received lower benefits than my family members / friends?

Updated by LIFESG
The Government has a variety of social support schemes for Singaporeans that use a range of information about an individual or household to determine their financial situation for means-testing of social benefits. These could include the Assessable Income, the Annual Value (AV) of the place of residence and the ownership of multiple properties to allow the Government to target and channel the appropriate level of support to Singaporeans. There are benefits for all Singaporeans, and those who need the extra support will receive more.
