What is an IPC?

Updated by KAMPUNGSPIRIT

An IPC (Institution of a Public Character) is a charity approved to issue tax deduction receipts for donations that qualify. Charities without IPC status cannot do this.

What it means for you

  • The IPCs on KampungSpirit are participating IPCs approved for this voucher donation campaign. Each IPC's page describes its work and what donations support.

  • Whether your donation is tax-deductible depends on the IPC and its own conditions, such as a minimum amount. See Is my CDC or SG60 voucher donation tax-deductible?

  • IPC issues tax deduction receipts, not KampungSpirit.

IPC status is granted by the Commissioner of Charities or a Sector Administrator. You can look up any charity's status on the Charity Portal.
