I am a Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) who is married to a Singapore Citizen. If I acquire a share in a residential property that is already owned by my spouse, will this be considered as our first property owned together and will Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) be payable?

If you are a SPR acquiring a partial share of a residential property that is already owned by your spouse, ABSD will be payable on the partial share acquired.

The ABSD Remission for a Married Couple is not applicable in this scenario, as the residential property must be purchased jointly by both spouses at the time of acquisition in order to qualify for the remission.
