Are Singapore Permanent Residents (SPRs) liable for ABSD of 30% when buying a resale HDB flat before selling their current property?
For the acquisition of an HDB flat by SPRs, partial ABSD remission may be granted such that a lower ABSD rate of 5% is payable under the Acquisition of HDB Flats and new Executive Condominium (EC) Units Remission. Remission is granted automatically upon approval of the acquisition by HDB.
