If I own a private property jointly with my spouse and purchase a second private property in my sole name, can I apply for ABSD remission by selling the first property within six months of signing the option to purchase the second property?
No. To qualify for ABSD remission, the purchase of second residential property must be a joint purchase by a married couple where at least one spouse is a Singapore citizen and all other remission conditions are met.
You may refer to Remission of ABSD for a Married Couple for more information on the remission conditions.
