I had have inherited a property. Will this be included in my property count for ABSD purposes?
Yes. For ABSD purposes, your property count includes not only properties that are purchased, but also those acquired or transferred through other means such as:
- Inheritance
- Gift
- Release
- Settlement
- Declaration of trust (where the beneficial owners are identifiable)
- Letter of authority
- Exchange
As such, an inherited property will be included in your property count when determining ABSD liability.
