I have sold my property effective from Dec 2024. Am I still required to pay the property tax for 2025?
If the sale completion is before 1 Jan 2025, you may ignore the property tax bill for year 2025. HDB or your lawyer would notify IRAS within one month of the transfer so that the new owner will be billed for the year 2025. If you continue to be billed after the transfer of your property, please check with your lawyer if IRAS has been notified of the transfer.
