Can a Singapore Citizen married couple claim an Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) refund if they sell their jointly owned HDB flat before their newly purchased condominium receives its Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) or Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC)?
ABSD refund may be applicable under the ABSD Remission for Married Couple, if the HDB flat is sold before the TOP/CSC of their jointly purchased condo if all other conditions of the remission are met. ABSD will be automatically refunded within 6 weeks from the stamping of the sale of their first property.
