If the seller and I mutually agree to cancel the property transaction before the completion of sale, am I eligible to request for stamp duty refund?
BSD, ABSD and SSD remission in excess of $50 is applicable to rescinded or aborted sale and purchase agreements if the remission conditions are met under Aborted Sale and Purchase Agreements Remission.
If you meet all the remission conditions, you may submit a refund application via the e-Stamping Portal as follows:
1. Proceed to myTax Portal.
2. Click on "Stamp Duty".
3. Log in "Individual User/Business User".
4. Select "Request" > "Apply for Refund".
Refund application is generally processed within 30 days.
