How are Healthier SG vaccinations selected for inclusion under NAIS?
Healthier SG vaccinations listed under NAIS are selected based on recommendations by the Drug Advisory Committee and Expert Committee on Immunisation which takes into consideration public health needs, local disease burden, vaccine efficacy and safety and cost-effectiveness. If the vaccine effectively prevents vaccinated individuals from infection or minimises complications if infected and is found to be cost-effective for its intended target population, the vaccine will be considered for inclusion under the NAIS.
MOH, in consultation with the Expert Committee on Immunisation, also monitors newly registered vaccines or those in the development pipeline to assess their relevance for Singapore, taking reference from international guidelines.
