The possible reasons are:

The flat owner has not obtained HDB’s approval to rent out his flat/ bedroom with HDB;
The previous rental approval has expired; or
The flat owner did not register you as a tenant.

Please remind the flat owner to apply for HDB’s approval for renting out of flat/ bedroom with HDB. If there is an existing rental approval, please remind the flat owner to update tenant details to register you as a tenant.
