I am renting a flat/ bedroom from a flat owner. However, the result of the service enquiry shows that I am not an authorised tenant. Why is this so? What should I do?
The possible reasons are:
- The flat owner has not obtained HDB’s approval to rent out his flat/ bedroom with HDB;
- The previous rental approval has expired; or
- The flat owner did not register you as a tenant.
Please remind the flat owner to apply for HDB’s approval for renting out of flat/ bedroom with HDB. If there is an existing rental approval, please remind the flat owner to update tenant details to register you as a tenant.
