How do students manage their mental health amidst the range of school and personal demands?

Updated by HCI

The school adopts a proactive and multi-layered approach to supporting students’ mental well-being.

Through Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lessons, students are equipped with practical skills to manage their workload, regulate stress, and build resilience. These lessons provide strategies for time management, emotional regulation and help-seeking.

At the class level, the Form Teacher (FT) serves as the primary adult mentor, supported by classmates and trained Peer Support Leaders (PSLs) in every class. PSLs are equipped to look out for their peers, foster inclusive class culture, and work closely with Form Teachers to support students who may need additional care.

Beyond the classroom, the Well-Being Centre provides a dedicated space for students to seek guidance, learn coping strategies, and access structured support. Students may also approach their Heads of Consortium (HOC), school counsellors, or school leaders, all of whom are available to provide guidance and assistance.

Together, these layers of support ensure that students are not expected to navigate academic and personal demands alone, and that timely help is available whenever needed.
