When will students have more information on the talent or elective programmes? Are these programmes compulsory?
Secondary 2 students will be briefed on the Talent Programmes in Term 3 each year, ahead of their transition to Upper Secondary. During the briefing, detailed information about the various pathways will be shared, including programme scope, expectations, and selection process. Contact details of respective Programme ICs will be provided so students may direct their queries to them directly.
Participation in Talent or Elective Programmes is not compulsory. Students have full autonomy to consider their interests, strengths, and commitments before deciding which, if any, programmes they wish to pursue in Year 3 and Year 4.
