Can my clinic book an appointment for me?
There are two situations where your GP clinic can create an appointment on your behalf.
You've asked for the appointment, or explicitly agreed to it
You can request an appointment from any HAS clinic, and clinics can also book on your behalf with your consent for any appointment type (follow up consults, vaccinations, screenings, etc).
Clinic staff are required to get your acknowledgement before creating the booking. If you ever get a booking confirmation SMS for an appointment you didn't ask for and don't remember agreeing to, you can cancel it directly via the link in the SMS, or contact the clinic to inquire why the appointment was booked on your behalf.
You're a Healthier SG enrollee, and it's one of three specific appointments
If you're enrolled in Healthier SG, your enrolled clinic can proactively book you in for your First Health Plan consultation, your Annual Health Plan Check-In, or a flu vaccination (if you're 65 or older).
This is meant to help clinics reach out to patients - especially seniors - who might otherwise find it hard to book online themselves.
This can only happen through your enrolled Healthier SG clinic. If you're enrolled elsewhere, or not enrolled at all, clinics cannot book without your consent. You'll receive an SMS from gov.sg confirming the appointment, with a link to reschedule or cancel it if the time doesn't work for you.
If something doesn't feel right
Appointments through HAS are always optional to attend. You can cancel or reschedule any appointment via the link sent to you in the SMS, and you're welcome to reach out to the clinic directly, or to HAS support, if you have concerns about how a booking was made.
