Under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS), persons who are recommended to be vaccinated can either receive (i) PCV20, or (ii) PCV13 and/or PPSV23.

Persons aged 65 or above who have not received any pneumococcal vaccine can either receive:
- One dose of PCV20 (regardless of age or conditions); or
- One dose each of PCV13 (regardless of age) and PPSV23; PCV13 should be given first, followed by PPSV23 a year later (or at least after a minimum interval of 8 weeks) for better protection.
Persons aged 65 or above who have received PCV13 and/or PPSV23 but have not completed the recommended vaccination series can either receive:
- One dose of PCV20 to complete the vaccination series; or
- Complete the vaccination series using PCV13 and/or PPSV23.
  - If you have previously received PPSV23 before age 65 years, you are recommended to get another dose of PPSV23, at least one year after the most recent PCV13 and at least 5 years from the previous dose of PPSV23.
  - If you have already received PCV13 as an adult (regardless of age) and one dose of PPSV23 on or after 65 years of age, there is no further need for either of the pneumococcal vaccination.
