PCV20 vaccine was approved for use in Singapore in November 2022. From September 2025, PCV20 vaccine will be included in the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) and the Subsidised Vaccine List (SVL).

Hence, subsidies for the PCV20 vaccine will be extended to eligible Singaporeans and Permanent Residents in the recommended groups from September 2025. From 2026, MediSave can be used to pay for the cost of the vaccine after subsidies.

More information on the clinical recommendation for pneumococcal vaccines in the NAIS will be available nearer to the implementation date. In the meantime, you may wish to consult your attending physician to discuss the most suitable pneumococcal vaccines for your condition.
