Which adults are recommended to get pneumococcal vaccines?
Under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS), the following individuals are recommended to receive pneumococcal vaccination:
Persons aged 65 years or older
Persons aged 18-64 years old with any of the following medical conditions:
Chronic pulmonary, cardiovascular, liver disease, or diabetes mellitus;
Cochlear implant or cerebrospinal fluid leaks;
Immunocompromising conditions;
Chronic kidney disease
